figuring it all out......

Oh the joys of motherhood. It's so adorable when your baby wants to be held all the time and you can just sit there and rock them while they sleep in your arms. But Oh wait.. That's a real pain the ass when you have TWO other screaming kids who are also trying to get your attention and be held... Uggh! But what can you do? Try and figure it out...That has become my motto over the last six weeks. And it holds pretty true...  I have mastered holding two babies at once. One in my lap and one in my arms. Getting the toddler in there too, well, that takes some talent and even I haven't quite mastered that shit yet.. In time kiddos, in time.

Besides taking care of lots I babies, we also had a fabulous added stress the week of New Years. Our stupid ass drain in the basement kept backing up so we had to call a plumber to fix it... Well, long story short, they worked on it all week and after five days of minimal water use, they had to dig up a big ass hole in our front yard to fix it...it was a real bitch for the week to go to my moms house for showers and laundry, but it finally got fixed! I don't wish that shit on anyone....So now I have a lovely large mound of dirt in my front yard. It looks like we are just really shitty at hiding bodies. I'm sure the neighbors understand :)
Other than our plumbing woes, everything has been going pretty well! Routines are trying to be made, sleep is happening and we are doing alright. How do I manage three kids all the time? Well, I have a not so big secret... JB goes to a sitter MULTIPLE days of the week and spends a lot of weekend time at granddaddy's house. If the officer and I had to have all of the kids all of the time.. I would clearly lose my fucking mind. Luckily, with the help of some awesome sauce family and our saint of a sitter, Tina, I have not felt the need yet to blow my brains out.  Now most nights we do have all 3 so lots of times JB gets a little bit of bribery with lollipops from grandma...That shit works great too :)

We have also started to do a lot more tummy time... it goes, well, the way you would expect it... They tolerate it for a little bit then get pissed.

I'm a little behind but the twins had there 1 month appt about 2 weeks ago... They are already very different. Jack weighed 10lb 13 oz and was 21.25 inches tall. He is our needy baby that wants attention all the time. Jenna weighed 9 lbs 4 oz and 21 inches tall. She is super easy majority of the time and doesn't require to much attention but trust me, she gets plenty. Currently, we are watching flat spots on the back of both their heads to make sure they don't get worse... That's my only concern at this point...Overall, they are doing great!
